Congratulations Nicole!

Nicole Masters, Membership and Marketing Director, has received her Membership and Marketing Professional designation (CMP). To receive the designation, Nicole had to complete the PCMA Membership Management Institute. The curriculum encompasses 10 courses, attendance at the annual conference, a club case study, and competency exam. Nicole has demonstrated tremendous leadership, commitment, and professionalism by achieving this accredited designation. Nicole has been with the club since 2007 and serves as the President of the Piedmont North Carolina Chapter of the Professional Club Marketing Association. Congratulations Nicole.

MDCC Update

If you're a member with us at MDCC, you have probably noticed a new face upon walking in the front door.  Rachel Carter is the newest addition to the club and we're so excited about having her!  She has been doing a great job over the past month as she has taken over Member Services.  Elizabeth Winfield has a different desk, but she is still with us! Elizabeth is now the Private Events Manager.
This has been a great transition period that we hope will only better serve you!  Please feel free to stop by and get to know Rachel, if you haven't already.  Elizabeth is available as well and would love to assist with any event ideas you may have.
As always, every member of this team is here to help you in any way possible no matter the job title.  Don't be shy!

Holiday Spirits

It's 2012!  2011 went out with a bang as we created holiday memories with the Gingerbread Workshop, Polar Express Family Night, Santa Brunch, and finally the Cocktail Party.  We had such a great year and see a busy one ahead with our friends at MDCC.  Don't miss out!

SPOOKtacular

This year marked another sell-out Halloween event here at MacGregor Downs.  Members of all ages dressed their best...

We hosted a hayride for the young ones and a haunted house for those that wanted to add a little extra spook to their night!  These were accompanied by a list of other activities and yet another delectable dinner prepared by Chef Chris Hill and his culinary team. 

Thank you to those who spent another night to remember with MDCC.  We enjoyed your creative costumes!

Men's Club Championship

 A note from Ben Hynson:

The Men’s Club Championship attracted perhaps the strongest field for the Championship Flight.  After the  18 hole qualifying round the Championship Flight had 7 players playing for the final 36 holes.  The weather was windy and cool and Trey Holroyd had rounds of 71-73-72 for a 7 shot win over Hunter Grove the defending champion to win the 2011 Men’s Club Championship.  Other flight winners included 1^st Flight Champion – Michael Werner, 2^nd Flight Champion – Greg Mills, 3^rd Flight Champion Dave Burrell and 4^th Flight Champion – Gordon Bell.  Congratulations to all the champions in this year Men’s Club Championship.

Delightfully Dainty

Our Mother Daughter Tea on Sunday was yet another success at MacGregor Downs.  With an excuse to escape into a world of Wonderland, there was the sipping of tea and nibbling on sandwiches and sweets.  Guest appearances lit up the afternoon as even Alice and the White Rabbit wouldn't miss this!  Mothers and daughters alike cherished their day together.

Triathlon 2011!

A big applause to all that participated in the MacGregor Mini Triathlon!  This may have been a mini triathlon, but there was nothing small about the impressive work of our members on August 22.  The running, biking, and swimming left all with just enough energy to enjoy a spaghetti dinner following the event.  If you participated in the Triathlon be sure to stop by the Labor Day Pool Party Registration Table, Monday, September 5th between 12pm and 4pm to pick up your shirts (we will mail your shirt if you are unable to attend this event) to wear proudly for all to see...triathlon completion, check that off the list.
